Will I be comfortable staying at Citrus Cycling on my own?
Of course. One of the best things about staying at Citrus Cycling are that you get to meet and mix with like-minded people who share an interest in cycling.
Can my non cycling spouse/partner stay at Citrus Cycling?
Of course. There are plenty of walking trails that leave almost from the house and, with the prehistoric caves in the village, there are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing.
How do I get medical cover from the NHS for travelling abroad?
UK residents need to apply for a European Health Insurance Card (this replaces the old E111 form) the card is free to apply for at: www.ehic.org.uk/intenetPROD?home.do
How do I book?
You will first need to confirm availability for your stay by contacting us direct. Once confirmed, you can then complete the Booking Form and send it to us, along with your deposit of 25%.
What if I have to cancel after I have paid my deposit?
Refund policy: You should notify us in writing if you have to cancel your stay. In the event of a cancellation, we will retain your deposit, but refund any further monies that you may have paid.
Are linen and towels provided?
Yes, we change linen and towels on a weekly basis. You should, however, bring your own towel for use outside of the guest house,
Are there clothes washing facilities?
Yes, there is a washing machine available for use by guests. Washing powder is also available.
What if I have any special dietary requirements?
Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements before you arrive. If you don't tell us of your needs until you arrive then we might not be able to accommodate all of your requirements fully.
Is there a good selection of restaurants locally?
The area is very well catered for with regard to restaurants, with Denia in particular having a good cross section of restaurants, to cater for most tastes and pockets.
Is it easy to take my bike on an aeroplane?
Yes. You will need to protect your bike in a bike bag/box which can be bought, or possibly hired, from your local bike shop. If you need help to reassemble your bike when you arrive, we will be happy to help.
Do you have bike workshop facilities?
Yes, we do have bike workshop facilities to enable basic repairs to be carried out.
What clothing should I bring?
You will need to bring your normal cycling clothing. The weather in Spain is much milder than in England, but it can still be a bit chilly in the mornings, so you should bring suitable clothing to ensure a good layering system.
What is the weather and climate like in Valencia?The average weather in the Valencian region reaches temperatures of up to 40deg C in the summer months, but hardly ever drops below 7deg C during the winter months. With an average temperature for the months of January to May at 11deg C this makes the area an ideal winter training venue.
